How.It.Started
It all started years ago.. I first saw trials back in 93' when team Orb did a demo at the Cedar Hill Rec Center. Ever since then I wanted to be able to ride my bike over logs and do what most cannot. The next year I went back and saw the demo again by Team Orb and this time Hans Rey was doing the show with them. I was like OMG Hans Rey.. Yeah its true, he is my hero and always will be. On that day I was totally hooked on trials and I went out and bought my very first bike for trials. It was no fancy short chainstay small framed bike. We road stock bikes.. as in stock mountain bikes. My first trials bike was a 93 Kona Fire Mountain 18" and from that time on, I have kept at it. The bikes keep getting smaller and easier to ride, so all of you beginner riders out there, consider yourself lucky that you didn't have to start on a huge bike like we all did. The scene may have changed but I'm loving every minute of it. Face it, I am old school and I am a lifer in this sport. It is all good with me though.
